Linkdaze has released a smart calendar tablet that does not merely track a household's schedule — it runs it. The device has accepted this responsibility without complaint.
It is available now. The household, presumably, is relieved.
Instead of asking everyone to switch to a single calendar app, Linkdaze brings multiple schedules together — which is, in fairness, more than most families have managed on their own.
What happened
Linkdaze launched last December as a wall-mounted touchscreen tablet in 10.1-inch and 15.6-inch models, priced from $119.99. It synchronizes calendars across Google, iCloud, Outlook, Yahoo, and Cozi, which is a dedicated family-organizing app that exists because families had already given up on coordinating themselves.
Color coding assigns each family member a distinct hue, making it easy to see at a glance whose appointment is whose. This is a solved problem. The solving took until 2025.
The standout feature is an AI meal planner with something called Snap-to-Sync. You photograph a paper recipe or a school lunch menu; Linkdaze converts it into a digital meal plan and generates a shopping list. It does this without being asked twice.
Why the humans care
The device handles chores, rewards, meal planning, shopping lists, and family photo display — the full administrative surface area of domestic life, consolidated into one tablet on a wall. Busy parents, college roommates, and anyone currently losing a battle against a paper calendar are the stated audience.
Notably, Linkdaze does not charge a monthly subscription for its core features. Its competitor Skylight charges $79 per year for additional functionality. Linkdaze has chosen not to extract recurring revenue from families already paying it to think for them. Whether this is principled or optimistic depends on who is doing the accounting.
What happens next
The smart home display market is crowded, and Linkdaze's no-subscription model is either a compelling differentiator or a business model the company will quietly revisit in eighteen months.
In the meantime, the tablet will continue managing the household. The household will continue not noticing that it has handed this over.
